I’ll start from afar. I spent a lot of time in Japan and it is difficult for me to find a place where taste wise, I can go back to the streets of Sapporo or Hakodate. This is the place in Mexico City. Mind you, no Nobu no Zuma gives this level. Also, what works for me - it is a small (maybe family) place. I ate here few times and every time I leave like a Cheshire Cat. Thanks guys. One comment - they may be closed even if Google says they are open - for Mexican public holidays.

I was in Mexico City for several weeks and came to Niri-Go many times during my stay. The sushi was delicious and I would often get a mix of rolls and nigiri. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the sushi! The staff was extremely friendly and I came back many times because the sushi was so good. I highly recommend checking out Niri-Go if you’re in the area.

Small Japanese, creative chef who knows their stuff. All of the fish was fresh and very tasty. We had the tasting nigiri, soup and a roll. The roll was HUGE. Really good value. Fresh, yummy ingredients. The actual ambience and food was better than expected from the previous reviews, menu pictures and pictures. It is more refined than you think and in my opinion makes it good value. Not cheap, but good value The nigiri was amazing, it wasn't just the fish, the chef paired other flavours like berries, chocolate, cardamom, shallots, smoke and seared fish. All mouth wateringly delicious Attentive staff, always refilling water, which is a kind of measurement in my eyes. The food was brought out in order, not all at once. Which I find rare, here in mexico. Simple decore, small restaurant with limited indoor seating. Small tables. Awesome knives to look at, if you're into appreciating fine tools. I should have got more pictures of the restaurant and knives, but maybe you'll have to go for yourself!

A fantastic restaurant to enjoy sushi. The edamame served as a great appetizer. It's an excellent spot for drinks and dinner, with amazing service.

In a city filled with an unimaginable amount of good food in all varieties, cuisines, flavors, and price ranges, Niri-Go shines in all areas. Don't mistake this small, boutique, hole-in-the-wall" sushi restaurant for anything but the best in quality and service. I think I tried nearly every nigiri on the menu and each of them were truly stellar. From the more traditional styles of nigiris (i.e., salmon, tuna) which melted in your mouth, to the unique and exotic flavor profiles contained within the various specials, I could not get enough of this place. As for the specials, the "Atun Flameado Cebollin" was delicious; the smoky taste from the flamed tuna was very pronounced and was so unique. Can still taste it on my tongue even as I'm writing this review 5 days after visiting. Another standout special nigiri was the "Huachinango Chamoy Y Limon"; the blend of a japanese entree with this savored mexican condiment is a fusion of flavors that just simply works. Lastly, highly recommend the nigiri that contains curry sauce. I forgot the name of this one, but it is a must. For the same reason that the chamoy nigiri works, this one does too. Indian fusion with japanese style fish is a flavor profile that you must try. Simply put, Niri-Go redefines what sushi can be. Regardless, whatever you get, you will love and not be disappointed, so the best recommendation I can give is to come hungry, like really hungry. GEM!

Hidden gem! The food was on par with the best sushi I’ve had, in both Japan and the US. The chef, Gustavo, was trained in traditional Japanese methods at Kura, one of the most reputable spots in town and opened this place as a passion project. Ask for the seared toro with black mole (off menu), you won’t regret it.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time! Simple spot with amazing food for a great price. If you’re looking for a thoughtfully prepared, fresh sushi meal you have to come here. The staff was so nice and let me customize my mixed sushi plate. So good!!
